1. Tell a story!

Any story can make for a good letter! What did you do today? Did you have any interesting conversations? What are you thinking about? What did you eat? Any story can make an impact.

2. Explain your feelings!

Once you have a story in mind, think about how it made you feel. Was your day exciting? Did that conversation warm your heart? Did that meal hit that taste you were craving?Speak from the heart and your story will start to feel really special.

3. Ask Questions!

A good conversation goes both ways. Share your story, then try to find those connection points. Has your pen-pal had a similar experience? How did they handle it? The more you and your pen-pal share, the closer you’ll become!

Good letters also have a greeting and a sign-off. Don't worry, we already wrote those into the letter for you!

Catching Up!

Dear GoodGood,

How are you doing today? It’s so good to talk again! I have so much more to share since our last conversation!

I just started reading this new book, and I’m really enjoying it. I’ve been reading one chapter before bed each night, sort of like a bed time routine. Reading has helped me unwind at the end of the day, and it’s given me something to really look forward to every night. Do you have your own nighttime routine? Have you read any good books lately?

I can’t wait to hear from you!

Sharing a Story!

Dear GoodGood,

Today, my friend and I were going to hang out together. We were planning to get pizza and play games. I was so excited, so I grabbed a deck of cards and I made my way over to their place.

There was just one problem: no one was home. I was a bit confused, but that's when I got a text from my friend: "I'm at your front door. Where are you?"

Once we realized what happened, we couldn't stop laughing. We took some time to regroup at my place, and we kept laughing about the mishap. Has anything like that ever happened to you? Were you able to laugh about it?

I look forward to hearing back from you.

With Love, Your pal
